Golf Courses
There are two on-site golf courses - Praia D’El Rey Golf & Country Club and West Cliffs Golf Links.
Praia D'El Rey Golf can be considered as one of the best in Europe; with a front 9 set among an extensive pine forest and a contrasting ocean-side back 9 with undulating dunes and fantastic views over the Atlantic.
West Cliffs is regarded as Europes Number 1 new golf course. Opened in 2017, it is a pure links layout which runs alongside the coast with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a stern test of golf and promises to be top of the European rankings for some time.
Praia D'El Rey Golf Course
Praia D’El Rey Golf & Country Club is ranked among the best in Portugal and it is easy to see why. This spectacular piece of land provides a range of stunning holes that run along the Atlantic Ocean. The mix of holes on offer adds to the enjoyment, with the front nine working its way through pine trees and the back nine winding through subtle dunes and sandy wasteland. Both nines offer their own challenges but combine together to create a round that will live long in the memory.
West Cliffs Golf Links
West Cliffs Golf Links opened in 2017 and has rapidly earned status as being one of the best golf courses in Continental Europe. The Cynthia Dye design is a must play in Portugal, the course offers a pure links layout that will test even the most accomplished golfers. The undulating fairways and wasteland areas create a visually stunning layout, the natural landscape is used perfectly allowing the holes to weave through this magnificent piece of property.

Sean's Thoughts
Yes we are going back to Cyprus again- Our basic trip is from Friday to Friday - that is the 17th of May and this will include half board (breakfast and a choice of lunch or dinner) and 3 rounds of golf at Elea resort, Minthis Hills and Aphrodite Hills. Cost of the trip will be €1295, there will however be an option to extend the trip by 4 days and this means going out on Monday the 13th - the cost of the extra 4 days for half board will be €80 per day and there will be an option of an extra round of golf at Elea resort at a cost of €90. There will also be an option to enhance your stay at the hotel by opting for the premium all inclusive package and this will incur an extra cost of €240 for the week.
The premium all-inclusive package here is a very very good one indeed, it includes breakfast lunch dinner and very high end drinks but for me one of the benefits of this lovely resort is that there are so many good restaurants to go to and of course if you're on the all-inclusive package your inclination will be to stay in the hotel every night - this will be able to this individual decision. I'm delighted to say that our music maestro Mick Cummins will be on the trip and depending on the numbers we may well have some more entertainment – Really looking forward to it to!
